For the 3rd consecutive year, Empire served as The Fragrance Foundation’s producer of the Fragrance industry’s premier event, the Fragrance Foundation Awards.

Held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, the perfect early summer evening began with guest arrivals and a cocktail reception in Alice Tully Hall’s outdoor sunken plaza and soaring glass atrium. Amidst a series of walls artistically printed with striking images of honeybees, guests mingled and sipped champagne while VIPs walked the red carpet and posed for the press photographers in a separate tent on West 65th Street.

Once seated in Alice Tully Hall, the evening’s host, critically-acclaimed actor, producer and comedian, Alec Baldwin, kicked off the star-studded award program with both humor and elegance.

Notable program participants this year included Hall of Fame winner and Group President of The Estée Lauder Companies, John Demsey, as well as Lifetime Achievement Perfumer, Firmenich Master Perfumer, Annie Buzantian.

Rock singer Bryan Adams graced the audience with a performance of “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman,” and closed with a spectacular rendition of “Summer of 69.” Guests let out exuberant cheers and left in awe of his fantastic vocals and charismatic stage presence.

This year’s celebrity presenters included Johnny Weir, Jasmine Tookes, Taylor Hill, Prabal Gurung, Hilary Rhoda, Russell James, Sophia Bush, Kendall Jenner, Zachary Quinto, Anja Rubik, Sally Hershberger, Alexandra Richards, Danielle Brooks, Victor Cruz, Kellan Lutz and Emma Willis.

The dinner after party was held in the Alice Tully Hall atrium and outdoor plaza, creating the perfect summer night cocktail experience.

The evening ended with a sweets truck provided by Sweetery NYC distributing aromatic coffee and Fragrance Foundation gift bags filled with luxurious cosmetics and perfume.

A modern event space decorated with greenery, featuring sleek tables and chairs with a Microsoft Connect() sign.

Guests received their first taste of technological innovation at registration, where they were welcomed by name on a reactive LED screen installation covering the full width of the entry wall. A large lunch café was created with a décor scheme that incorporated custom-built, ceiling-high steel LED frames draped with foliage to create smaller, intimate restaurant-style spaces that displayed both technology and nature.

A series of breakout sessions presented content targeted to attendees’ varied interests, while imagery displayed throughout the venue showcased real-life applications of how products designed to empower developers help to unleash the power of data and reimagine possibilities that will improve our world.

Every element of Microsoft Connect(); from registration, breakfast and keynote, to lunch and evening cocktails, were custom-designed to communicate exacting brand messaging and to deliver a high-touch guest experience to this important audience. The keynote and breakout sessions were livestreamed through an onsite studio built for this purpose and content was watched online by millions around the world.

Empire is proud to collaborate with Microsoft on this annual, top-tier business communication event.
