Herbert Smith Freehills Summer Party 2017
June 2017. Tokyo, Ritz Carlton Tokyo Grand Ball Room
The annual summer party held by Herbert Smith Freehills, was held again this year at the Ritz Carlton with over 300 guests in attendance.
The guests once entering into the ballroom were instantly teleported from modern Tokyo to a traditional Japanese Festival, the main theme of this year’s party, “Asian Summer Festival.”
Special attention was given towards the decoration of the room with the usage of vertical banners. Each banner individually designed represented various locations around the world that Herbert Smith exists. Including this, paper lanterns as well as various structures were placed on the party floor.
Japanese Taiko Group MICO brought to the venue a wide range of sounds, with songs specifically arranged for this event. The rhythmic beat of live taiko created a powerful primal sound associated with Japanese festivals and celebrations that instantly enthralled the audience.
Empire Japan was responsible for all event production and management, technical production, and artist coordination.
