Gen Okamura

Senior Producer - Tokyo, Japan

Gen graduated from North Glasgow College, Scotland in 1996, having studied Sports/Coaching Development and Leisure & Recreation Management. Upon his graduation, for 4 years he worked as a ski and snowboard instructor in Nagano, Japan where the 1998 Winter Olympics was held.

At the turn of the century, he began his work as an event producer for Ceatec Japan, Expo 2005 Aichi Japan. Utilizing his experiences studying abroad, he has produced corporate promotion events at various locations during the Olympic Games in Beijing, Vancouver, London and Rio de Janeiro. For 15 years he has continuously produced the global video education program (KWN), raising creativity and communication skills through video production by children at the primary and secondary school levels. Gen’s hobbies is surfing and carpentry?! You can always catch him on the weekends ripping some waves.
